Creative Collaboration: Polish and Vietnamese Language Programs Integrate Visual Arts
Congratulations to Iryna Kovalchuk, Preceptor in Polish, and Hoa Le, Senior Preceptor in Vietnamese, for receiving a 2025–26 Provostial Fund for the Arts and Humanities award! Their project, Multimodal and Intercultural Language Learning in Vietnamese and Polish Programs, will integrate visual arts into language instruction, engaging students through collaborative workshops, lectures, and creative projects with artist Basia Tran. The initiative aims to deepen intercultural understanding, highlight connections between Poland and Vietnam, and enhance language learning through artistic expression. Students will produce illustrations, animated media, and merchandise, creating a lasting impact beyond the classroom. This award recognizes their innovative approach to fostering collaboration, creativity, and cultural awareness in less commonly taught languages.
