Join the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, the Nieman Foundation for Journalism, and the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies for a lively conversation with journalists Miriam Elder and Julia Ioffe. Both former Moscow correspondents now writing from the US, the two will touch upon Sochi, Putin-era politics, and reporting Russia in the digital age.

Miriam Elder is the Foreign Editor at Buzzfeed. Prior to her current position, she served as a Moscow-based correspondent for The Guardian.

Julia Ioffe is a Senior Editor at the New Republic. Previously, she was a Moscow-based correspondent for Foreign Policy and The New Yorker.

Wendell Steavenson (moderator) is a staff writer for The New Yorker. She is also a current fellow at the Nieman Foundation.
