Prior to her current position, she served as a Moscow-based correspondent for The Guardian.</p><p>Julia Ioffe is a Senior Editor at the New Republic. Previously, she was a Moscow-based correspondent for Foreign Policy and The New Yorker.</p><p>Wendell Steavenson (moderator) is a staff writer for The New Yorker.
