As Department Coordinator, Augustus serves as main departmental staff contact and provides direct support to the Department Administrator for the department’s administrative and operational functions. Previously, he worked as a gallery attendant at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art and as a researcher and translator for the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. He holds a B.A. in Russian Language, Literature and Culture from Bowdoin College. He also studied Russian in Moldova with NSLI-Y and Bard Smolny in St. Petersburg, as well as Ukrainian with the Melikian Center at Arizona State University and Yiddish at YIVO, the Worker's Circle, and Harvard. In his free time he enjoys reading, cinema, hiking, memorizing poetry, and the company of friends.
