Slavic Department welcomes new Assistant Professor, Aleksandra Kremer

The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures is very pleased to welcome Aleksandra Kremer, who will join the department as an Assistant Professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures in July 2016.

Aleksandra comes to Harvard from the Institute of Polish Literature at the University of Warsaw, where she is a junior faculty member. She holds a Ph.D. in literary studies from the University of Warsaw (2013), an M.Phil. in European literature from the University of Cambridge, and two M.A. degrees from Warsaw: in Polish and English. In spring semester 2014 she was a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her book on neglected publications of Polish-, English- and German-language concrete poetry is forthcoming by IBL PAN in 2015. Her research interests include Polish modern and contemporary poetry, literature and the visual arts, and poetics. Her current project, funded by the Polish National Science Centre, is devoted to recordings and live performances of Polish poetry.
