Congratulations to the winners of 2021 New England Olympiada of Spoken Russian

Congratulations to the following students of Russian who won in the 5th New England Olympiada of Spoken Russian on April 11th, 2021.

2nd year:

Alexander Lee - 1st place in Speech Contest

Cade Williams - 2nd place in Poetry Contest, his Mayakovsky’s “Послушайте!” left all the judges with goosebumps.

3rd year:

Joseph McDonough - 1st place in Speech Contest and 2nd place in Poetry Contest, he blew the judges away with his rendition of Lermontov’s “Небо и звёзды”

4th year:

Jarom Larman - 2nd place in Speech Contest and 2nd place in Poetry Contest, Jarom set himself apart with his amazing rendition of Simonov’s “Самый первый"

 

Our warmest congratulations to our students who truly deserved the success for studying such a challenging language as Russian and being so brave in taking even more challenges in current difficult times. We are so proud of you! 

We also have winners in the sticker design contest. Congratulations to Sydney Stotter (REECA) for taking the 1st place and Murphy Chang for taking the 2nd place. Their stickers were voted as the best by students who participated in the Olympiada.
