Claire Atwood Wins Fay Prize

May 19, 2016

The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures offers its deepest congratulations to Claire Atwood '16 for winning a Captain Jonathan Fay Prize for her thesis, "Transfiguring History: Two Epic Poems About Peter the Great, 1803-1810."

The Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study awards the Fay Prize to as many as three graduating seniors who demonstrate exceptional and original work in their theses. Claire was selected as one of three winners of a Hoopes Prize in the Arts & Humanities Division to be considered for a Captain Jonathan Fay Prize. It is a tremendous achievement to win this prize and the Department is thrilled for Claire. Special credit also goes to Professor Daria Khitrova for advising Claire on her thesis. Congratulations to you both!
