Emily Herring

Emily Herring received her B.A. in International Affairs and Russian Language and Literature from The George Washington University (GWU) in 2019. Emily has studied intensively in St. Petersburg, Russia at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia. She served as a Teaching/Learning Assistant and instructor in intensive Russian language classes at GWU and recently completed her first summer as an Associate Instructor of Russian at the Indiana University Summer Language Workshop.

Emily’s current research focus is Russian prosodic patterns. Her academic interests include the phonetics and phonology of Slavic languages, the language of the media, and second language acquisition studies.
