Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures works closely with other units at Harvard that study, teach, and research the Slavic world. Among the most important are:

- [Kathryn W. and Shelby Cullom Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies](https://daviscenter.fas.harvard.edu/)
- [Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute (HURI)](http://www.huri.harvard.edu/)
- [Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies](http://www.ces.fas.harvard.edu/)

We also work closely with the Harvard [Language Center](https://language.fas.harvard.edu/home), which holds audio course materials for our language courses.

**Library Resources**

The collections of the [Slavic Division at Widener Library](https://guides.library.harvard.edu/slavicstudies/collections) offer resources for the study and research of Slavic culture without parallel at any American university. Please take a moment to review the "[Slavic and Eurasian Studies at Harvard](http://guides.library.harvard.edu/slavicstudies)" guide to see all that Harvard libraries offer. You are also welcome to contact the [Slavic Division's librarians](https://guides.library.harvard.edu/slavicstudies/welcome) with your questions about the collections and your research. The Slavic Division at Widener Library has a [blog](https://blogs.harvard.edu/slaviccollection/) archive featuring information about the collection, such as acquisitions, gifts, special collections as well as its efforts in improving access to the materials through cataloging and digitization.

[The Kilgour collection](http://pds.lib.harvard.edu/pds/view/49569435) in the Houghton Library is the finest holding of Russian first imprints in the Western world. The [Fung Library](https://library.harvard.edu/libraries/fung) also houses the Davis Center's separate specialized collection available to enrolled students.

**Film Archives**

The [Harvard Film Archive](https://harvardfilmarchive.org/) houses an extensive and unique collection devoted to Russian and Ukrainian cinema, which includes 35- and 16-millimeter films.
