#  Welcome, Spring!

 On April 6th, students of Czech and Polish celebrated the old Slavic tradition of Morena, which symbolizes the end of winter and beginning of spring. After reading poems and songs related to the custom, we made the figure of Morena from branches and scraps, carried her from the Barker Center, and symbolically dipped her into the Charles River. Welcome, Spring!
