#  Congratulations of Elizaveta Kheresh on the release of a new book of poems!

*The Department is pleased to congratulate* [*Elizaveta Kheresh*](https://slavic.fas.harvard.edu/people/elizaveta-kheresh)*, Ph.D. Student in Slavic Languages and Literature, on the release of a new book of poems,* [*Дни вповалку (Days in a Jumble) (Hochroth, 2026)*](https://minsk.hochroth.eu/en/product/liza-cheres-days-in-a-jumble-дни-вповалку/)*. Дни вповалку, co-edited by exiled Belarusian poet* [*Dmitry Strotsev*](https://pen.org/writer-at-risk/dmitry-strotsev/)*, gathers Elizaveta's poems from various years dedicated to Belarus' , poems that reflect Elizaveta's deep engagement with Belarusian literature and culture and poetic dialogue with Belarusian writers such as* Jeŭdakija Łoś and Alena Kiš.

*The second part of the book, titled "Jewish Variations"*, *contains Elizaveta's previously unpublished poems written in dialogue with the Yiddish-language literary tradition in Belarus', based on texts by poets Moyshe Kulbak, Izi Kharik, and, in particular, Sore Kogan.*

*We are very proud of Elizaveta, and excited to see the cultural diversity of the region we study reflected not only in her scholarly work, but also in her artistic practice.*
