A warm congratulations to [Dr. Veronika Tuckerova](https://veronika-tuckerova.faculty.slavic.fas.harvard.edu), Senior Preceptor in Slavic Languages and Literatures (Czech program), on the recent publication of her monograph [*Reading Kafka in Prague: On Translation, Samizdat, Translation, Export, and Dissent,* (Bloomsbury Academic, 2025),](https://www.bloomsbury.com/us/reading-kafka-in-prague-9798765118375/) a study examining Kafka’s reception in Czechoslovakia from the early 1920s to the late 1980s. This work is sure to prove a valuable contribution to Czech literary/cultural history, Kafka studies, and our understanding of the reception histories of world literature under illiberal regimes - we are all very proud of Dr. Tuckerova's achievement!
