A warm congratulations to [Maria Khotimsky](https://languages.mit.edu/people/maria-khotimsky/), Senior Lecturer in Russian at MIT and alumna of the Harvard Slavic Ph.D. program (2011) on being awarded an ACTR Excellence in Teaching Award for Post-Secondary Instructors! This award is awarded annually by the [American Council of Teachers of Russian](https://www.actr.org/) to an instructor who has distinguished themselves in teaching at the university level. We are so pleased to see one of our alumni gain this well-deserved recognition!
